Returns & Exchanges

We offer the opportunity to return our products ordered from rains.com. You may get a full refund or exchange your item for a different size or color. You have 30 days from the day of receipt to return any unused items. For all J.Crew / Madewell and market place customers, please contact us at (646) 585-1770 or via email at us@rains.com for approval.

Refund requests for online purchases cannot be fulfilled in our physical Rains Stores. However, we are always happy to offer an exchange for a different product, color or size. Please bring the delivery note or invoice to the store. For products bought from an authorized Rains dealer, please reach out to the corresponding dealer for refund / exchange. Extended return term for the Holidays: All orders made from rains.com during November and December can be returned by the 31st of January, 2020.


In the following cases, you should contact us@rains.com for review before returning the goods to us.

  • If you receive a damaged or wrong product
  • If the warranty period is expired

Please follow the below steps for refunds / exchanges:

1. Print out the return form.

2. Fill out the form with your order information, which can be found in your order confirmation email or the delivery note.

3. Fill out the product information for each returned item.

  • You may use the comment box if you wish to provide additional information, e.g. what item(s) you would like in exchange.
  • You may choose a different product of the same value or less in exchange (the balance will be refunded).

4. Once the form is completed, mail the product(s) to Rains US at 179 Entin Road, Clifton, NJ 07014, United States.

  • Pack your product(s) in sturdy packaging, for instance, the Rains shipping box which the product(s) came in.
  • All returned/exchanged goods must have the original hangtag and be placed inside the branded poly bag. Products returned without poly bags or tags will automatically be rejected and returned back to the shipping address. Please note that customers are responsible for goods that have been worn, altered or damaged while in transit.
  • Include your delivery note and the fulfilled return form in your parcel. We use them to identify the order.
  • Please note that you will bear the cost of the shipment unless your product is faulty, and that we do not accept drop point delivery. Consider using delivery service with tracking.
  • Customers are responsible for any lost parcel when returning products to Rains.

5. We will process your request as soon as we receive your parcel, and you will receive an email notification shortly after.

  • Please expect a refund within 3-5 working days from when we process your return.
  • Please expect a replacement product between 2-7 working days from when we process your return.
